NO, DIWALI CAN NEVER LOSE ITS CHARM ! IT IS A CANNARD SPREAD BY SENSATIONAL MEDIA'S ILITERATE LIKE REPORTS, PSEUDO CULTURISTS AND SECULARISTS AND, IN SHORT, THE ENEMIES OF INDIA.

DIWALI IS A GREAT SYMBOL OF NATIONAL UNITY AND REAL RICHNESS, INCLUDING CULTURAL RICHNESS, OF THE PEOPLE OF INDIA.

Is Deepavali's CHARM fading.....!!!!!!!...

Diwali' s Charm FADING.....!!!!!....You must be crazy....Yes..it has undergone a lot of change over the years....but the CHARM ....is very much there....Again..it all depends upon - how you look at the festival....

Years back - during our younger days...the new clothes were purchased during Pongal, Vishu or Diwali. But, these days - shopping goes on throughout the year....!!!..
Sweets and Various savories were made at home for Diwali....but these days - people either do not know....or do not have the time to make them at home..specially for insular families...this is the time , they miss the old grandmother or grand pa at home....!!!...
About visiting the neighbors or relatives on the Diwali Day....people do not have time to keep in touch....and depend on either FB or Twitter - and hence, the kids also are glued to the TV since they simply do not know their kins as the parents have not inculcated the habit into them...

But Diwali's CHARM is still very much ALIVE....and since we tend to take too much of our relations granted....we do not realise the
importance of the same......WE WOULD REALISE THE VALUE OF THESE HABITS ONCE OUR KIDS GO AND SETTLE IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND WE BEGIN TO MISS OUR OLD WORLD CHARM......!!!!....

You are very much correct. Festivals are to meet people, enjoy, wish, give and take blessings. We need to step outside leaving the TV, Computers etc etc. We can then bring back the joy.

In our younger days, we used to plan when we will burst crackers, etc etc. Nothing like that is happening today. This is where the whole joy is list.
