guys bbm drains the battery. where as whats app doesn't...surprised no body brought up this issue... this is one reason y people are unistalling bbm 3 to 4 days into it...
anyone on android use viber over whatapps. viber also gives free voice over internet facility. whatsup is not free after 1st yr. So go for viber its not same feel as whatsapp but pretty good.
BBM does not require favorite list, as BBM list is created by sharing PINs not like What's App everyone came to know that you are using What's App including your Ememy. Anyways List can also be created in BBM.
To compare an IM based service like Whatsaap which is based on Jabber protocol( same as gtalk) with a proprietary product like BBM is waste of time, Maybe whatsapp, live chat and we chat can evoke similar comparison, but comparing BBM and Whatsapp is like comparing apples and oranges.
