Never take ULIP. 100% sure you may not get anything at end. Even after 5 - 7 years, your money will be just 50% of what you invested. Agent never reveal their deductions. Their charges / deductions are high. Useless. I lost around 50,000 in three policies. I make complaint with OBSUDMAN, but no use. Insurance companies, influence these people, you may not get fair judgement from them. It is day robbery. IRDA just an eye wash. It is true. But people may not understand quickly. Simple term insurance policy plus bank deposits. You are very much safe in all respects.
ulip is good product provided during selection of product should be taken care properly like different expenses ,charges of switching etc.what writer has written is correct and I agree with him fully.
Misleading article. Just follow my thoughts 1) close your existing ULIP and just take whatever money you get and put into FD (even if its value is at 20% loss or more) 2) do not again start a new ULIP
Its a crap investment...for insurance one should opt for term plan and for investment the market is flooded with many options like MF bond fd etc etc..i have invested in one of the HDFC ulip for last 6 years and still the fund balance is in negatives..absolutely waste of money and precious time..
