There are many ways of meditation. They all are effective but meditation through Sudarsahn Kriya can do wonders. It carries the human being on much higher level of heart and soul. I have been practacing from three months and I able to get rid of my BP medicine which I was taking for 10 years. Do Sudershan Kriya with faith and dedication you will surely be benefitted.

I'm desperate; the moment I close my eyes to meditate my mind wanders almost immediately and all kinds of strange thoughts comes across my mind. I was told to concentrate on the tip of my nose, do pranayama, chant Gayathri mantra. None of the suggestions helped.

You are right even I had the same problems. I started doing suharshan kriya by art of living. I am able to meditate. Sudharshan kriya is the easiest meditation technique any body can meditate by this.

Don't follow every thing prescribed, every technique doesn't work for you. Probably the safest is to watch the mind, thoughts sensations etc. watch the mind wandering, wherever it goes. Gradually you notice that the wandering reduces and you will be more at ease. But it takes a little while for the results.

I also having same problem of Blood pressure. And now i completely out of that Problame
My concentration has increased manifold. I feel I can think with much clarity than my earlier days. Except mild Acidity, I do not suffer from other lifestyle ailments like BP, sugar or obesity. I think credit should go to regular meditation and not to me.

Hi Mobin,
You may consider reading the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" and if your way is that of "Meditation" , you will find a way after completing the book.
This book is widely regarded as an authentic text on Yoga in world over and has got translated into more than 25 languages (if I am not wrong). So , it's all about pure medidation and not any "occultism/fanatism"

The simplest is watching your breath. It brings up a whole lot of physical and mental reactions. You need to work at it, and gradually you will find it working FOR YOU. It does not have any religious basis. Breath is verily life, because without it you cannot live. If a force, prana-energy, is so elemental as to be life itself, then focusing on it will bring you immense benefits. The technique is to observe your breath objectively, as it comes in and goes out, do not take pleasure or enjoyment, nor show aversion to unpleasant sensations.
Yes, Practicing meditation certainly increases memory. I am practicing it since last 25 years. I regret that during my college days I did not know how to meditate. It would have surely enhanced my score in the exams.
