How is this guy relevant to India? He is through and through a foreigner, except for his Indian sounding name. And I wonder what is so great about whatever it is that he's doing. I wonder why we need to keep looking at the West for appreciation! There are probably hundreds of Indians here, working in difficult situations and bettering people's lives. Why not write about them? Why should we even bother with these foreigners? Does this huge country with so many talented people need a certificate from the US?
It is good to know about achievements of persons like Amar. Buy why we Indians always praise the guys who are non-Indians? We should give importance to patriotism like most (almost all) advanced countries. Without partriotism, Indian will be only like this (mediocre, and many a times really pathetic)

It is not praising non-Indians. It is almost falling in love for "Whites". There are several talented, intelligent but unrecognized sould in India. It is the duty of the reporter to find them and write about them. There are a few such articles that show up once in a while.
