Siva and Sakthi
by Blue Hamsa on May 12, 2013 01:08 PM

Siva the eternal Atma (present in every one of us) or the witness, who remains detached in blissful always and Sakthi is the witnessed world (or experiences). Daksha is the ego, or our view of world that is formed based on our limited experiences, not willing to accept the higher truth since it may mean a loss to the lower self. Ego gets all its powers from Atma but denies it. The story says Sakthi may be temporarily under the control of Daksha(ego) but ultimately it causes destruction of it and ultimately can belong to the detached Siva only. Read Devdutt Pattnaik.
