it is unfortunate that some insurance companies adopt many ideas to reject claim. but the pertinent question is why a policy holder forgets that he is a consumer and move the same to consumer court for justice. insurance companies ,whether private or public cannot escape liability on any grounds, unless there is valid policy violation.
Its written from the point of view of the insurance companies. Even if all the facts are correctly disclosed and even if we pay premiums without fail, private insurance companies reject claims slighting other silly reasons. I know a case where an accidental death claim was rejected by some pvt company saying that the deceased did not cross the road through zebra line. They have to tell us, how many zebra crossing are there in our country? They have employed leading advocates to take up the case up for them. Very rarely will normal middle class people get something in favour of them when they file a complaint if their claim gets rejected. So best thing to avoid claim rejection is to take a policy from nationalised companies like LIC... Their claim rejection is very low as compared to pvt companies who only looks at their benefits while they issue policies...And this is the most important point which the author purposefully hide under the mat
