insurance companies rejecting claim
by niamrsp on May 16, 2013 04:34 PM

it is unfortunate that some insurance companies adopt many ideas to reject claim. but the pertinent question is why a policy holder forgets that he is a consumer and move the same to consumer court for justice. insurance companies ,whether private or public cannot escape liability on any grounds, unless there is valid policy violation.

An article which doesn't tell us the truth

Its written from the point of view of the insurance companies. Even if all the facts are correctly disclosed and even if we pay premiums without fail, private insurance companies reject claims slighting other silly reasons. I know a case where an accidental death claim was rejected by some pvt company saying that the deceased did not cross the road through zebra line. They have to tell us, how many zebra crossing are there in our country? They have employed leading advocates to take up the case up for them. Very rarely will normal middle class people get something in favour of them when they file a complaint if their claim gets rejected.
So best thing to avoid claim rejection is to take a policy from nationalised companies like LIC... Their claim rejection is very low as compared to pvt companies who only looks at their benefits while they issue policies...And this is the most important point which the author purposefully hide under the mat

Most insurance companies of the world are dishonest.

They are so keen to reject the claims that their personnel are specifically trained to find loopholes for rejections.

The agents are often rogues and the insurance companies know that.

The agents just ask the gullible client to sign on the dotted line and do the rest himself/herself.

They often goof up in the process.

oonke baap ka kya jaata hai.

Once the full premium is paid the claim ought to be paid unless there is an apparent attempt to dupe the insurance company.

Unfortunately, the insurance companies regard all clients as dupers.
