The industry is very closed minded and does not let anyone who is not a son/daughter of a star really succeed.
Can anyone name a super star barring Shahrukh Khan that has emerged out of a totally non filmy background?
At least in terms of women/heroines our industry is a little open in that if a woman is extremely good looking she gets an opportunity or two and then if she makes it great (example Priyanka C or Aishwarya etc who came from non filmy backgrounds).
But coming to heroes its always sons of actors, directors, producers, financiers why even cooks and caterers of film canteens -anyone from outside can say bye bye...
