To the Indian women
by p on Mar 31, 2013 09:10 AM

should avoid getting westernized in their clothes. The western women is a commodity. They are obsessed with how they look. Looks are only for identification. The real value is in the heart and mind which needs to expand. The hawai chapal is more comfortable and better for your back and feet than high heels. why waste time in looking good for man? the man is not wasting time on looking good for you?

Mamata Banerjee & Hawai slippers
by Ashwin on Mar 30, 2013 07:49 PM

Yes. Mamata does not show off on her makeup because she knows that she is not an actress OR not even any show piece. She conducts herself with dignity, for others to follow her but few emulate any thing good. But one thing is for sure that as CM she does not have much to walk and hence hawai slippers will not pose problem. But it may not be practical for many.

She also uses it on water tape at her slum, while grueling other women, fetching water!
