Vaishali creating magic with Muga silk

Muga is a unique kind of silk not seen in other part of the country with its brown texture. Being an Assamese I m very happy to see that the rest of India has taken a note of a beautiful fabric of my state in this fashion week.

It ain't a brown texture of the silk, its golden in its pure form! Muga fabric is also the strongest and most durable amongst all natural fabrics known to man! It was only used by the Assamese royalty till about the 19th century and not by the commoners. From what I have found after using it, have purchased a few Muga silk kurtas myself, it feels pretty cool during peak summer use and relatively warm during mild winters. thats something unheard of for any fabric, natural or synthetic!!!
