While I had all but one, correct, just wondering whether the plural for "aircraft" is "aircrafts"... I always thought the plural is also "aircraft" only like, deer, sheep....

The difference
by Yakoub Khan on Mar 15, 2013 11:55 PM  | Hide replies

In China, France, Switzerland, Japan and many other countries, the 1st language is not English and they are developed/fast developing countries.

These countries are not necessarily Anti-English but they are sure of their own cultures.

Perhaps the greatest difference between India and China is that the Chinese have nationalist feelings and a sense of self respect.

Does learning a global language reduce nationalistic feelings? What are you talking man? In today's world its imperative to know at least a little bit of english. I am a german language trainer myself. EVen hard core people like japanese, russians etc understand and speak a little english. Be sensible and improve your english. DOn't give excuses of self respect and all buddy.

There is NO language called Chinese. It is like saying India has one language - Indian. China has 56 regocnised ethnic groups with 292 languages spanning 8 language-families. Mandarin is the largest spoken and understood one, akin to Hindi in India. Significant proportion of people in China can't understand Mandarin. China follows bi-lingual policy. And English is treated as a third language and not a medium of instruction.

Mamta Banarjee and Biman Bose are duly elected popular representatives for both side of political divide and their English is horrible.

Karunanidhi and Stalin can not speak English so they had to forward Kanimozi to represent them in UPA when they parted ways with Dayanidhi Maran.
