in fast upsc should debar doctors and engeeniers from taking the exam.infact upsc should consider taking exam at plus 2 level and thereafter give rigorous trg for 4 years in relevant dicipline.for eg i.a.s should be trained in pub ad,ipc, developmental adminitration.likewise irs should be trained in accounts etc

Request to Rediff

Age limit should be raised to 31 as was the case when the pattern changed for MAins examination last time i.e. 1990.....also the cutoff date has to be 1 January not 1 March for age criteria......Many guys who are 29 years old and giving their last attempt , would like to wait 1 more year for want of weighing pros and cons of new format and to grasp question pattern in the new syllabus before giving their final attempts.
Request to Rediff.....PLease help us achieve this......However as the provision of 1 relaxed year is not provided this time...so they will have to give examination this time only.....as they would be 31 years of age next time....

UPSC Exam Format

The new format is being welcomed unanimously, when total population have to undergo their studies either in Hindi or English. This case is only possible, when there is no regional language is available to study in India including RURAL AREAS.

First implement above rule, then automatically any new format or changes in any exam will not affect any person.

If not possible, humbly cancel the new proposal, which affects whole RURAL INDIA.

changes are good it reduces the burden, but min.25 candid. limit for regional lang. opt. is unfair, it not clear about regional language opt. for the interv.

UPSC Change in Format - Slide 1

Question is WHY. WHY the new proviso? WHY has UPC thought NOW of restricting the choice of medium that was hitherto available? Unless that is clear and seen to be justified, this will seem arbrary.
