Yes, but change of attitude does not mean ill manner, We are yet to see any young lady offering seat to any child carrying lady or oldis, they feel only young males are for it.

The fact that women hesitate to offer their seats stems from the following - women feel unsafe in buses to standup, women still dont as much feel proud to help others in public because society considers it okay for women to be coy and quiet while men to be forthcoming with helping ("gentleman" image). If such stereotypes are done away in society and women's safety in public improved, women will feel equally proud to help others out in society just like men, if not better.

The only way to break the stereo type is to be forthcoming with helping.

Spoon feeding is useless and harmful. Women have to fight on their own first. Help makes sense only if the individual fights first.

There is no reason why only men can kill women and women cannot kill them in self defense even if law says so. Although more than 2,00,000,000 (two hundred million) Indian women must have been attacked since Independence, not one is known to have killed the attackers or hurt them.

Things will not change till Indian children are brought up to disobey, challenge, and insult their parents and elders. It is the parents who make sure that their girl is weak, vulnerable, helpless, and submissive. No one is working to break this ancient chain of brain washing.

Indian women should stop being "bechara" and start carrying country made revolvers, iron rods, bottles of acid, knives, razors and use them on the men who try to take advantage of them!

In India,95% men are forced into arranged marriages by their parents and to produce children as soon as possible.Slam-bang,in the 9th month after marriage, the child comes along !!! In return, men get just the 10 minute service!!

This has resulted in population explosion in India. Now at least, men should think twice before consenting to parents' wishes. The 10 min.service is definitely not worth all the hassles of an arranged marriage.

A man may marry a girl only if he falls in love with her.Marrying for just the 10 min.service is foolishness.

W T F!

Nobody is forced into marriage!

Indian men get married because that is the only way they can get laid!

There is no need to sympathize with someone who so willingly wants to get f--k e d !

Marriage is a primitive practice of Indian culture. Backwardness is passed from generation to next by brain washing from infancy and reaches completion before adulthood. Once adult they are in a hurry to continue the tradition, so need fresh human victims. Indians are in a hurry to produce children, more the merrier. Country, society, environment are not part of their awareness so do not influence decision making. These habits are preserved by early and self continuing brain wash.

Direct means of communicating with non Indians, such as Cell Phones, Internet devices, and so on, will make Indians aware that there is a world outside the Jurassic Park, and would lead to interruption of the brain wash regime.

"If a woman is pregnant, she can avail of maternity leave, but what about men? Don't they share the responsibility of the newborn? I think we are narrowing our views by saying that women should have incentives over men. " Madam, do men give birth to the baby? Do they feed them? Before giving examples, you should think a bit madam. Women do need the maternity leave, men are given 15 days paternity leave, which they themselves don't avail.

Good work. Empowerment of women is vital for the growth of India. Half of the population of India is women. If half of India is not given access to good education, employment, healthcare, freedom of choice and basic well being, how can India become prosperous ? When women get equal opportunities, India will take off like anything.

Exactly. We are depriving the competitive potential of 50% of Indian population in the name of women abuse. If they are given a free hand India will be extremely powerful in all respects. Of course the attitude of men in the society should change in huge doses for this to happen!

Time and opportunity should not be spent on improving attitudes as success is very little. It is better to escape from India while still young.
