Just a thought! Montek Singh Ahluwali believes that a BPL per can live a day in Rs. 32/- or less! A 50 to 70 lac car would provide livelihood for years if that price is not spent but put in FD earning about 1% per month. The luxury cars do the very same work the cheap car does i.e. taking you from one place to another in comfort and protect you from rain, weather etc. There are cases when BMWs have run through living human beings and killed them. Just a thought.

Dear Ganesh, please read the article carefully. What you suggest is clearly out of scope of this article. The writer has touched the point of fuel efficiency and thats more than enough as "money tips",which the article is all about.

Even if one can afford a BMW, one needs to assess in all honesty if the person deserves it now or s/he will be eligible in later years.

Affordibility versus deserving needs to be checked before deciding on a high end car.
