I travelled to Turkey for ten days with two friends in July 2011. Now, almost a year later, reading about the turmoil the country is in at....
This means that rediff has picked up the content exactly a year later than it was published somewhere, or is it a typo error when it says July 2011 ??

It is a typo. It should say July 2012. My apologies.

I feel jealous of Istanbul. BTW - I think there are quite a few more cities in Europe that may be as exciting.

india is exciting too but very much less exposed to cosmopolitan lifestyle. these europeans are exposed to and quickly take up good things from many cultures

Best activity in Istanbul is to laze around on Istikal street and eat ,drink and watch girls,everybody seems to be in the age group of 18 to 25,I don't know where you found two old men .
