The NEET-UG fiasco-

Govt playing with a students Career

I have read the views of distinguished people. It is the responsibility of the Govt. to see that all qualified students get admission in govt/private medical collages as this chaos has been created by them.
It is quite easy to find an escape route citing reasons of Supreame court and State Govt decisions. Then why such foolish measures were taken to ruin the careers of thousands of Medical aspiring students ?
It is astonishing to note that how govt pass the buck and avoid its own responsibility.
Who will return one year of my daughters career ? can the govt do it ?

There is a nationwide shortage of faculties in

engineering & medical institutes.

It has become a like a pizza stores in cities these colleges have sprouted like mushrooms.

Inadequate staff, shortage of equipments and shortage of vision. Each upcoming engg. institute is having a label of Research & Development either to get grants or tax evading.

It is better not to talk about capitation fees.

Puducherry college took Rs 5.8 crore for MBBS seats.

Also some medical colleges in Maharashtra run by Politicians from various parties purposely fail the students this increases their turnover as the student has to be in the college for another one year- addition to pay for all fees along with lodging and boarding expenses.

When demand is high!! then there is nothing much can be done!

Not sure students who actually sit for exams (engineering or medical ) actually want to be one or the other! or its the peer pressure among students and parents which forces them to do this!

WAke up India WAke up!

Judgement in haste and half thought
by vivek bansal on Jul 21, 2013 06:52 PM

Student & parent deserved honest and better judgement than just banning NEET,why so much haste when you are retiring on that day.Private
medical colleges are happy which are given free hand though they donot have good faculty, less commitment towards quality & affordable treatment of masses. This decision is
saddening for brilliant & poor/middle class students, must be rethinked in national interest.

Similiarly more & more govt.medical colleges should be set-up which ensure affordable & quality medical education.Politicians can not
escape their social responsiblity and everything can not be handed to private sector which is mostly dominated by greedy & wicked
people.

Der Ishan
You have penned it down beautifully. No one seems to bother about the students plight, decision makers have thier own myopic interests. However it is very important to get good students in medicine or we will see the results after a few decades....

neet killed by mci not politician they have give chance to appear only for cbse cicse board & hindi knowing state board studnet not other indian language knowing student.because theyhave questioned only for cbse syllabus. In our state bengali medium student is phase problem type of question whereas cbse student give easily answer .Another very unfortunate decision take by mci have reserved 15% seat to hindi knowing student in state medical college 85% other language are allow in their state. And out of state regional language arenot allow it is totally deprived for other language medium student
