While in terms of life insurance products and claims settlement ratio, LIC is the best, their term plan is quite expensive. You could opt for HDFC Term plan. As for health insurance, there are a number of private players in the market offering some good products. However, its still a good bet to go for a public sector company due to their impressive track record.
