Gender inequality
by manuel vijaikar jesudas on Jul 15, 2013 04:35 AM

Fosters gender inequality, and does not give young women the cutting edge, as they do not interact with men. This is not going to help these graduates in real life work situations.

Indian spend miserly 4% GDP on education when 65% of its population is below 35yr age. China spends 20% and most nations with much lower young population spend over 10%. The promised by MaunSingh to increase to 8% had been eaten by vote buying subsidies.

Why everything has to be Indira Gandhi? Whether it is airport, university, roads all has to be named after one Gandhi or other shows that we still have a slave mentality. Every city, town or two bit street has half a dozen streets named after these leaders only.

Make them equal, not special
by Bikash Biswas on Jul 12, 2013 09:37 AM

No group one has ever benefited by special status, because that is also a kind of discrimination. Make everyone equal irrespective od gender, religion or caste. Only the economically poor people need special arrangement. Probably that is not attractive for grabbing vote.
