In India, we have credit rating/history system. Our PM says, all Muslims should be given interest free loan and other facilities. Oh! I forgot that India is now Islamic Republic of India.
It makes sense only if you are on the wheels very often. For a normal person who is stationed at one place, there is no sense in owning a credit card. In fact, it would drain away all your savings without your knowledge, since temptation is the major culprit here. Instead, visit your bank, know the people there, learn banking and keep a black and white copy of your account. You may be called traditional, but it is worth it.
