How does one see that? She has a typical look which europeans admire. If you are seeing pain in her eyes, u will be seeing same in all french actors or models.

And if you didn't know, french people are usually quiet and silent and don't unnecessarily smile and seldom laugh loudly. And yeah they don't smile even when their pictures are being taken. Everyone in paris had the same expression when I visited it. Maybe some cultural thing.

Paris is a very old city. Those places u see are not run down but just old. If paris didn't look like that, or looked like any other city in the west, they wouldn't be getting maximum number of tourists in the world.
