MBA

MBA was just created with a vision to improve the business and not to earn high salaries. But it is foolish for some students to think that it would land you up with high salaries if you are not making that organisation profitable

you cannot expect a good job if you do mba from a poor or average college...MBA in India counts only when you do it from a top college.

Blame it on our faulty commercialized Education System
by Rahul Singh on Feb 01, 2013 11:25 AM

Every thing under the present education is made to appear ROSY by the vested interest politicians and a few educationists. They are taking the country for a big ride.
Our system of Education is itself at fault as no serious attempt has been made by Govts. to overhaul the system and bring reforms with the changing times. Same British model of education is being followed after 65 years of independence. The scenario is typical of Demand outstripping the supply. Most of the so called institutions are commercialized and people down the chain are minting money through heavy donations or capitation fees, higher tuition fees and collection of money in various forms. Yet these institutions are mediocre and provide not job guarantee. Parents and Students are fleeced of money with no final outcome. As a result people are dejected and frustrated and resort to all unsocial activities. Degrees are being sold for price ranging from 10k to 1.0 lack. More so the system is not in tune with the changing times. As a result most of the degree holders are rejected by the job market due to their bookish knowledge devoid of practical experience.
MBA Education is no exception and one can find so many MBA Post Graduates from every nook and corner of the country; however working as ordinary sales men or counter sales men in the super markets. MBA has become a status symbol today to put the qualification on visiting cards. Its no more popular as 15-20 years past.

corporate world is responsible
by amit agarwal on Feb 01, 2013 10:02 AM

the reason for all this mess is the corporate world in india which replicates USA & UK. first they started giving high salaries to candidates who did MBA's. now they don't want MBAs. quality education is restricted to only top level institutes. i feel in this information overload and fast moving world we are not able to think. we are just swallowing information even without thinking where we will use it and how will it help. finally the environment around us will make you also jump into joining the bandwagon as you fear of not being left behind. and finally when technology replaces human efforts jobs are bound to be reduced. there will come a time where only 10 out of 100 will work and rest 90 will be without any work. the time has come where our leaders have to think about replacing medium of exchange i.e. money, else the day when 3rd world war will happen is not far and the human existence will be at danger as nuclear bombs would take us back by 5000 years. only solution for peace in world is the alternative to the medium of exchange. if we can find solution to this then I think it is going to be the biggest breakthrough in human existence. because we all are working for money and only few and very few get opportunity to do the kind of work they would love to do 24X7.

Indian education system is designed to create employees, not employers.

background upbringing schooling matters....

background upbringing schooling matters....

just jumping into a b school cant make one capable...

good ones are from good families and most of those are absorbed by family business itself..

few exceptions without background are good and do good..but they are very very few..

else most are seen to miss even basic commen sense what to talk of business sense..

books can only show ways and glup and vomit kind of education system does not make anyone good..

thats what campus ppl looks for is grades...
the very basic is flawed ...

and racism in crop world across globe is killing it..
