Most mistakes discussed in this book are usually made by North Indians and Bania people who dislike English right from the time they have to start learning the alphabets!

Students from good English medium schools never make these mistakes as they learn the right way to maneuver through this language!

Bania people want to cheap out on their children's education and send them to vernacular medium schools where the dislike for English language is encouraged and applauded!

When these people enter the competitive world, they find themselves cornered and handicapped by their lack of knowledge of this language!

This bania author is besides himself since he managed to learn this language pretty late in life!

He is not the 8th wonder of the world for this achievement!

what are you talking?

It is proven that if you know one language well, you can easily adapt to other language. Excellenece in expressing thoughts is regardless of the language you study in. Basically, kids should be taught to express themselves rather than remembering books and writing same thing in the exams. Language is unimportant. We are born stupids that we are neglecting our own languages and such propoganda is giving us inferiority complex. It is one type of mass-hypnotism. Many nations have proved that language is not the barrier for progress. Expresso / Espresso are quite trivial issues and can not be attributed to "knowledge of language". Mothertoung is the best language for education. If you understand your mothertoung well enough, you can easily adapt to any other language.

I am not saying English is unnecessary, it is required as our system has accepted it and it's a language of US and UK. One must learn it. My only point is, stop spreading inferiority complex about our own languages. Don't spread wrong concepts.

I would like to differ with what you said. No doubt the mother tongue of an individual is the most important because that is the language which a child listens to and learns first. However the mother tongue cannot help an individual increase his/her chances of employ-ability. It is english and english alone which promises future growth and also opens up a plethora of opportunities. I train very qualified professionals but with zero communication skills. As far as there professional skills go they are heads and shoulders above others but with employment opportunities being denied to them because of their poor communication skills in English. English is no longer the language of the Americans or Britishers. It is Lingua Franca

You are right in general. I agree...but at the same time words like "mothertoung" can create a bad impression of the writer.

That's exactly my point. Such errors MAY NOT create bad impression. English is not our language. People understand it. Not sure if anyone has expereinced the English language proficiency of the people from other non-English countries. Indians are far better.

While we should be striving for excellence in everything that we do, we should also ensure that we are saving ourselves from negative mindset. So - I did put forth my views.
