VESPA WAS LIKE A DREAM SCOOTER IN MY GOOD CHILDHOOD DAYS. I WAS HAPPY THAT VESPA IS COMING WITH ITS PRODUCT. LOOKING AT THE PRICE TAG I THINK THE COMPANY HAS NOT DONE HOMEWORK BEFORE LAUNCHING THE VEHICLE.
The price was the Joke point the first time I stepped into the showroom.
The class of the vehicle may help but the price point drives people away.
When u get a tried and tested Honda Activa for a price lesser than Vespa, there is no reason why a customer will go for Vespa, unless he or she is exhausted about seeing Activa's everywhere.

True, I checked out the bike at one of the showrooms last year in august or so. Found it a good bike, but at an extremely blownup price. Would have thought of buying if it was priced at 58k then.

thats a marketing trick..They know that it would be difficult for them to beat honda, tvs and suzuki in the scooter market with same price and specs. So they instead positioned their vespa scooter as a premium and only meant for people who have the passion to buy better machines. After simmering the idea for some time, they now reduce the price and say "a premium scooter available to everyone at affordable price.. so why buy an activa or an access...
