Substandard
by Uncle Fred on Jan 16, 2013 04:59 PM  | Hide replies

Substandard writing with a fairly good storyline. Peter Jackson can convert this into a great movie! 'Asura' guy is a much better writer, but doesn't have a griping storyline!

Even though story line is good, there were glitches. Particularly, there was references to India multiple times. Did the name India exist during period of this triology... My question more in relation to name .. India..

It's story - not history. How do you expect to have all the facts right?

All religions are based on myths
by Ramadas on Jan 16, 2013 03:41 PM  | Hide replies

Scientists have debunked that the world was created in seven days; that the earth is flat; that the sun goes round the earth; etc. Educated clerics still carry on perpetuating that the world was created in seven days. Why? Because religion is a big business with millions thriving on it.

The problem is understanding. Arya Bhatta has already made it known to world that earth is round. But it took 1000 more years for Galileo to say that and get into trouble for speaking against church. Many such astronomical heights can be seen our own old stories, which are called myth today. The problem is no one goes through them thoroughly and comment on scientsts wisdom.

Myths?
by Indian on Jan 16, 2013 02:30 PM  | Hide replies

This tradition of labeling anything Hindu as myth should be stopped. There is ample historic proof about Ramayana and Mahabharata. Yet we don't read about them in history books. Where as all the western myths like alexander won against porus etc is in history book. When will Hindus learn the truth?

Yes, let's junk all those fossils discovered and change our text books, call dynasaurus etc a myth and learn about the dynasty of Rama. Afterall who would need to experiement with LHC.. it's all written all over our puranas. We do not deserve to be better off... ignorance is boon.
