Rediff is searching for its very own viral video sensation like Justin Bee Burr!

If it finds one, it will make a lot of money!

These Goans are pathetic musicians anyway!

They are only good at making noise at their wedding receptions!

Remember that cacophonous t o o l Remo Fernandez?

He was the gold standard of Goan musicians!

You can imagine how terrible they are from this fact!

Passion
by Prashanth DSouza on Jan 11, 2013 02:31 PM

To follow a passion purely for what it is, and weed out all the marketing and hype is very commendable. Even if I had the talent to learn music on my own, I would still need to be pointed to the right direction every once in a while. You have done well by sharing your knowledge, it is not yours or mine. It is the collective knowledge of the ages, of the spirit of music. It deserves to be shared and appreciated, not crassly sold and commercialised all the time. To stay true to this ideal in such times, is indeed commendable. Every artist has a right to be heard and appreciated, and even earn a decent living through his talent, if he wishes. Well done!

He must be a bad engineer who is compensating for it by teaching guitar to others!

He's just downplaying his achievements and speaking a refreshingly straight and factual languauge. Funny thing is, most people do not know how to react to facts. They are conditioned to react this way or that, but not straight as an arrow. You have gloriously missed the point and read all the wrong things between the lines. Start comprehending, not just reading.

The efforts you took to learn is amazing. The fact that you asked guitar players to draw the chords on tissues shows your determination to learn. Hats off!

I've seen your comments on chicks playing guitar. Are you homophobic? Or do you want attention?

While Floyd is teaching people how to play guitar why dont you get up from your couch and feed some hungry people in your locality.
