by arungopal agarwal on Jan 03, 2013 01:21 PM

Every resolution for betterment good if it gives peace, pleasure and satisfaction. Do not forget it is always men who honoured women viz. I am yet to see a woman giving seat to needy women in trains/buses. Maximum exploitation is done by women to women see house servants etc.,etc.,My msg. is first start respecting and loving women to women.

respect towards women
by rayapureddy kumar on Jan 03, 2013 07:04 AM

It,s a burning topic now about the attitudes towards women. my belief is it should start at home and it should start young. somethings are innate, the child would learn how a husband treats his wife, when every man treats his wife equally it would be ingarained into the mindsets of children. similarly when parents treat their children equally irrespective they are boys or girls, it would be understood to young boys innately that females are treated with equal respect. finally the attitudes for females towards another female should change, i.e respect for each other.

To ensure that my boys don't grow up gender biased
by kulbhushan Madan on Jan 03, 2013 12:09 AM

My compliments to you Anagha. Our conduct is always natural. It can not be artificial for long and person comes to its natural behaviour soon. So we can not change our character looking at the person we are going to confront soon, if it is a girl or a boy senior person or a child and when children are grown up parents also fall in the same line. So gender bias, age bias or relation bias can not take us too far. We will have to make our society gender neutral. Respect for human and every living being. I again say, as you have wonderfully written, only parents can take the lead. Every other attempt is half hearted. As a parent we have to make it clear in the minds of our children that sons and daughters are equal even if it is the right in their own assets. Sensitisation about respect for all HUMAN BEINGS is most important. I am sure it includes women, children and senior citizens too.

This is not going to bring any revolution
by SALIN GEORGE on Jan 02, 2013 08:27 PM

the incident of killing a girl brutally ll not bring any revolution. it would bring if our laws are changed so that no man will dare to touch a woman with out her permission. last day in rediff there was a news regarding the stand of human rights, still they oppose killing those culprits. they must be killed brutally, ten times more pain they must get than the girl had. it should be a lesson for others too. and those tourchoring should be in public. people should have fear. casteration is good. but before they must know the pain.
