If not any thing else, atleast you could include some of Dale Carnegie's rules like 'smile' and make a rapport with the interviewer to let him feel that you are his own etc.
Point 10. Be Patient, can work both for you and against you!
The trick is to know how to and how much pestering to do to!
If you are too "aloof" after the interview, many hiring managers think you are not interested.
If you do too much pestering, you can scare many hiring managers unless the job or the manager requires a person who pesters.
To know how much pestering to do one needs to get a good idea of what the job entails!
For example, if you interview for a Program or Project manager's position, you need to be good at pestering but in the right way.
A good rule of thumb is to ask the interviewer when you can contact him or her to know about the hiring decision. If you get a vague answer, call once every 3 days till you get a confirmed date for the decision.
If the hiring manager gives you a confirmed date, call at least once or twice before the decision date and remind him or her what a good candidate you are!
But do the latter tactfully without sounding desperate!
