Go for Gold ETF, its inflation-proof. With inflation around 9-10%, any scheme giving you just 7-8% is in fact eating up your capital in real terms.

I am an LIC agent and will tell you NOT to invest in any child plan. Best returns for gold with long term investments of Gold ETFs.
