I have no helicopters or private jets. still I move around very happily. So is happiness within and soul should be discipline to follow the creator. Put all your burden on the creator.
is the Indian Government employees' case. They get salary for doing nothing and if at all they do anything, they get sumptuous money from back side. Who else can offer such excellent job satisfaction in the world?
One of the most important things this article doesn't talk about is the satisfaction from the work(of course,it talks about appreciation, which is different). If people are satishifed with work and have a sense of achievement ,they wouldn't mind these extra things.
Unfortunately, today, most of the management is bankrupt and believe in superficial things mentioned in the article.
You can not compare the Blue chip companies with their perks. Sometimes they are not enjoying what we get. The important part to become happy is changing the attitude and stop eyeing the others benefits & perks, and be happy with what you have.
these facilities are available only in big companies and that too for high positions. What about the common man who is working 6 days a week . Such fancy jobs are not available to all and sundry. To a certain extent, the only people who are enjoying a few of these facilities like flexi timing are government employees. People dont get government jobs or jobs in big companies as people are already there. I am writing this msg. out of frustration.
I think this article sends a message to employers not to employees. But the reality is 85% of Indian enterprenuers, who engage employees never i repeat never look into all these things mentioned in the article. We Indians are almost slaves .May be you are talking about Blue chip professionally run organisations. Good luck to them
The happiness you get from inside is real and will stay. All external things are momentary.
Do not join an organization for perks....Life in itself is a miracle... Experience life ...Work is just for self preservation. Look beyond and go beyond....
Enjoy your inner well being.... Outer well being will follow...

Rajesh it seems that you have had enough.I know only one thing .Even the smallest happiness needs to be bought and money is needed.Neither you can get small happiness by paying less nor you get big happiness by paying less.Because you can count the ruppee notes first and then measure your happiness proportionately

Perhaps, you are wrong. Largest happiness comes from within and not from money. Money can buy things from market not from hearts. You may get many things like vacation, medical or educational facilities but nobody can be happy with these perks. Happiness needs something beyond these things.

Your logic holds good for people who are not able to have 2 square meals a day and those who are not sure about tomorrow. For the remaining, if they are not happy, they have no one else to blame except themselves.
