What is diabetes?

Diabetic is condition (not a disease) where insulin production is less or less efficient.

What is insulin?

Insulin is protein. Insulin is a growth hormone

What is the consequence of low insulin or less efficient insulin?

•      Excess glucose travel all over the circulatory system
•      Excess glucose is deposited all over the blood paths
•      Insulin sensitivity (Tissue responsiveness to insulin) low
•      Abnormally low insulin sensitivity is called insulin resistance
•      Fats in adipose tissue may melt
•      protein breakdown (loss of weight)

Physicians are trained by the pharmaceutical company. Company’s primary aim is profit. Thus no natural product is ever used in medicine as it is virtually impossible to patent them.

1.Low glycaemic food
2. Protein from soya or good supplement
3.Chromium is critical in metabolism of glucose
4.Magnesium increases insulin function
5. Balanced diet exercise to increase insulin sensitivity.

Regular exercise: It is also very important to get lots of exercise, though it should be under a doctor’s recommendation. Physical activities like walking and swimming help lower blood sugar so 30 minutes of exercise around 5 times a week is very helpful.

The diabetic patient urinate frequently because of excess sugar in blood (normal upto 126 mg% in the fasting state) Because of osmosis the more urine is formed and patient feel thirsty, weight loss and leads to weakness. So keep check on blood sugar values!

The diabetic patient urinate more because of higher level of sugar in blood which leads to osmosis and draws more water from body compartment to kidney and produces more urine. This can lead to gross mis match in water compartment balance hence leads to classical symptoms Polyurea (passing more urine) Polydypsia (drinking too much water) Polyphagia (eating too much and still loosing weight). Weakness is one of the earliest symptom which is always ignored and diagnosis of diabetes is delayed. However it is better to check blood sugar regularly to avoid complications of diabetes. If you have any questions on diabetic foot or diabetes then I will be happy to help you! Sugardoctor. In
