Agree with the author. She presented her view neatly.
Thanks for giving an insight to Mother's World.
All the aches and bruises feel non-existent when a couple is greeted by their baby's glowing smiling face.
Wishing a very happy new year and wonderful parenting ahead.

Take a few moments to appreciate what your mother or wife do apart from watching saas-bahu serials (by this, I mean managing of the chores at home and work apart from the kids) instead of being diplomatic.. Aditi as I understand from the article, does not call baby as work.. A father or kid can afford to wake up at 8 am on holidays. Once they are up, they will definitely need atleast a cup of coffee. The "work" of women folk starts from that moment till they fall asleep. She does not claim that kids are a menace, but rather added responsibility (which I am sure every parent will like). It is often the mother who runs behind the kid and takes full care of it. She is expected to do the same to her inlaws & hubby also (I am speaking in the case of 90~95% Indian women). Holiday simply means rest in this case and not to be mistaken with burden..

Amazing

Amazing. For the first time in decades, some woman has given birth to a baby and she has agreed to share her experience. Few women dare to be mothers. It's clearly the most complicated job in the world, more than anything any man can ever do because after all they just 'work' and all are just 'husbands.
