One does not step into MIT by attending coaching classes in Kota Rajasthan. If you had such better wiz kids in the IITs, where are their Researches?
Our Indian scientists consisting Bharat Ratnas, Bhatnagars etc. have been working in nano-tech since decades. Why no such thoughts and innovations did not come?
I do not think it is not just funding. It is a question of attitude. More funding may lead to more number of publications (ruddy papers)
Partly it depends on the surrounding environment and partly politics, nepotism etc.
However, largely, is it that science is not a subject for Indian society and Indians are more interested to see politics, "secularism", Big Boss etc as news headlines than science and technology?
Any ways, good show. Best of luck for the student.
there is a centre for nanotechnology in central university of jharkhand but there are not a single instrument which are required in nanotechnology..so how can students do good in the field of nanotechnology...please ugc take some severe steps in developing the centre for nanotechnology....i want to know which are the companies which rovides jobs in nanotechnology
some of the key words : he spent most of the time in labs. now america is a lab in itself. what is India? a big dirty undisciplined corrupt nation. What India needs is some modern MEGA city. once it is in place Dreams will start sticking onto it.
i feel sad, we talk big about IIT,s no IItians have done great innovation for indian economic growth, they just job abroad and earn in dollars and give crdit to america. i dont blame students going to america. i can say our education system is not providing right space for highly talented geniouses, which USA is cashing on.
He is American and it is a credit to the American education system which promotes innovation, ideation and research amongst its students. If he would have been in India, at the most he would have been on the production line of some IIT where mugging is the only thing that works. Brain work is limited. Innovation has very little importance.
