Mumbai used to be a great city if not the best city to live in.
All that ended when North Indians invaded it and destroyed it completely!
All the bad things that happen in Mumbai these days are taught to the formerly disciplined and law-abiding locals by North Indians.
Especially the ill-treatment of women.
In the good old days, nobody would dare harass a woman in Public. If he did, he would be badly thrashed by the public.
Now, nobody will intervene even if the miscreant starts tearing the woman's clothes!
A recent incident involving a TV actress who had to fight two purse snatchers in broad daylight all by herself with no help from 100s of bystanders is a sign of the times in Mumbai!
If you want to visit the city as a tourist while it is still "relatively" safe, do so in the next 2 - 3 years!
Who is this lady? What she knows about Mumbai? Read article she know nothing only living in one corner of Mumbai doesn't mean its Mumbai.
To know Mumbai one must travel by Local trains, BEST, Move around in city walk in city streets, Move to elite and slums area look what happened there, Look how city politicians exploits slums people votes for protection of their homes from demolitions. Watch illegal settlement by Migrants from UP,Bihar and Bangladesh look their life style and activities.
Ma'am with all due respect you seemed to miss out on the essence of Mumbai, the packed trains & buses , horrendous traffic, pitiful monsoons, stinking Gutters overflowing with human waste , which mumbai have you been living in ?? You seemed to have lived an elitist lifestyle in Mumbai, what with Mumbai scottish and tht fancy playschool, whose students are all top echelon of hi society, not one student frm those schools comes by BEST ..DO U know what BEST IS ???? travelling to lonavala, amby valley, eating choco fudge all la-di la etc it all spells out you have not seen the REAL mumbai, but have seen and lived a starry eyed picture post card existence... come down to earth , we are not so privledged so dont write about a fancyful existence in a city that you have not fully experienced,it takes more than 4 YEARS to grasp what Mumbai is all about !!!! ps I was also a resident of Mumbai for 26 yrs and have experienced that real Bombay ..!!!
