We do have a brigade of leaders in our country i.e. the IAS and IPS officers, but, they are under the arbitrary control of (educated or uneducated) ministers. We'll have to make sure they don't become puppet of ministers and here we go - we are on track of progress.

Corruption in India
by kunuthursrinivasa reddy on Aug 16, 2013 03:10 PM

Corruption in a developing country like India deserves to be ignored in preference to Efficiency of work. Inefficiency is far dangerous an evil than corruption. What can we do with persons be politicians or bureaucrats of India who are not corrupt but totally inefficient in fulfilling their assigned tasks?

even after 66 years of the so called indepmdence, youth is yet struggling to feel the spirits of being independence they have waited for long and are now desperately trying to have that feeling without any further delay, 66 years are enough and yes enough is enough now.

Youth
by sridhar santhanam on Aug 16, 2013 09:31 AM

Today's average youth has a decent educational background and is also in a hurry to progress. The statement you are in the queue is again a pain. They have a clear vision and a goal. They are passionate about their work. They are not bothered about religion or caste or its sub divisions. Unfortunately the few who fought for the freedom did not have committed politicians to follow through who could properly handle the problems faced by today's youth. The youth asks how many years after independence will we call India a developing nation? For the youth freedom or no freedom does not matter as long as he sees rape, corruption, bribery, etc., in every walk of life. Dividing along religious and caste lines is something they abhor. People should be proud of their country and not the religion they belong to is the mantra of the youth. The youth seeks freedom from these.

PANACEA FOR CORRUPTION IN GOVERNANCE IN INDIA
by DeSouza Wilberious Evanglist on Aug 16, 2013 05:50 AM

It should be realised & understood by all citizens of India that by obtaining independence from British, & later declaring India as Sovereign, Socialist, Democratic Republic, citizens of India have achieved only that which is very insignificant, i.e., transition from rule by conventional Kings & Queens who adorned a throne & wore crown too, to those Kings & Queens who are elected by people of India, indirectly via their representatives, lasting only for 5 years or less, those who do not adorn throne nor wear crown. This applies to every democracy in this world!

2.      The paradox of citizens in a Democracy is, to seek justice; they have to approach those who perpetrate injustice! For law makers are ironically are compulsive law breakers! This is as absurd as a rape victim approaching rapist seeking justice to the crime he has committed upon her!

3.       Constitution needs to be amended to render every Constitutional Authority & State (Read Art. 12 of Constitution including judiciary) functionary accountable to people of India with well defined procedure & predetermined penalty both pecuniary & punitive, for act or omissions affecting citizens of India detrimentally.

Does Young India take its independence for granted?
by Picha P K on Aug 15, 2013 10:40 PM

After carefully going through the article I discerned the three pertinent questions posed therein :
Aside from education and employment, what do the youth want?
How do we define patriotism?
What does freedom mean to us?

Being a senior Citizen I may with utmost humility fortified with abundant ignorance observe as under:
As pointed out so well by the eminent author, almost 50% of the country\'s population is under 25 years of age. The first and foremost aspiration will be a decent job?/ for which both the two hands of the Country (The Public Sector and the Private Sector have to created jobs to be in tune/sync.with the demand) i won\'t be able to show HOW ??

How do we define Patroitotism?? In my limited wisdom It is intense love for the Mother land!!In a eloquent snap that came over the e-mail,A mother bird is feeding the mouths of 4-5 siblings: the caption thereunder reads thus \"\" A MOTHER\'S LOVE IS WHOLE ;
NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES DIVIDED ( The result does not deteriorate despite the denominator getting larger ??) Similarly should(logically /reasonably/generally) be our own Love for the Mother Land known as Patriotism .The PAY BACK of mother\'s love as a bounden Duty ??

In a nutshell I quote from an article that I read recently :

\"\"FREEDOM BEGINS WITH A FIGHT FOR ONE\'s RIGHTS !! BUT IT MEETS ITS TRUE DESTINY WHEN WE BECOME CONSCIOUS OF OUR DUTIES !! \"\"

I hasten to conclude !!
