The answer is: In India, yes. Abroad, no. Abroad, customer is king and companies have to listen to them. In India, Customer is (Jo CUST SE MAR GAYA) - nobody will listen to him and Government rules are only to help richer.
Itis very much true that the Pvt Bankers do not send the credit card bill it time to earn certain regular income from their customers. I have paid such bills evey after surrendering my card.
Opt for receiving credit card bills through e-mail. It is that simple ! You may also opt for auto debit of the total amount due on the last payment date. I have opted for these and there is no problem. In fact, these days the total amount due and payment due date are communicated every month to the card holders by way of sms too.

Yes and you dont eve need it. You can keep reminder in outlook or mobile and just pay on due date looking at ebill on website. Even, I am doing it. But the question is: The people who are not tech-savy, should they pay for delay from bank's side? In US, no bank can dare to ask you payment without sending you bill and due date.
Also, pls scrutinise the bills thoroughly before paying up. They may delay collection of the payment and then later claim late payment fees and interest, as it happened with me from standard chartered. Take up the issue immediately and prove your point to get the undue charges reversed. If they dont do it, escalate the issue to banking ombudsman and also through social media, like face book and twitter. Like our credit rating may go down for default, their rating also should go down in the market for such malpractices
The Banks are not at fault. I do not get my Credit Card Bills in time normally. But if it is received, it is through a fourth party and not through the Courier delivery man. Unless the Banks stop payment to the engaged courier service till the delivery slip returned to them for verification, Customers shall face this problem. Recently A Courier returned a replacement Credit Card to the Bank. While getting the consignment reference from the bank and started searching (Tracking) the Remark was that no such recipient resides at the said address. After chasing at the Courier's Regional Office, I got a mobile number to be contacted. The number replied that the consignment is not for me and the final remark on the tracking chart was "Returned to sender as name is short". On reporting to the Bank they sent me the card through "SPEED POST" having 2 more envelopes inside. In connection to another consignment Valid Rs. 800/- sent from Trichy on 11th of a month, Tracking showed delivered on 13th. I was chasing on 15th. I reported to the Regional Office and recieved another mobile number which never answered. On 16th when I reported again the material was delivered to me in the evening. The Courier Services except a few appear to be engaged in crimes like pilferage etc.

So will you pay for courier fault? You are good samaritan in that case. Courier company is selected by bank and its their risk.
