Siddis have suffered for long.. With an emerging India, things I hope will slowly change for the better... Both the entrepreneurs Juje and Juliana must be great role models!
Really inspiring. Feel good for the couple. Its a lesson that hard work and the right opportunity can take you far ahead. But really feel sorry to read of their racist sufferings; however its not surprising considering even so-called 'bonafide' Indians (i.e., those who are appearance-wise Indians, no disrespect to Juliana and Juje) are rejected as tenants due to their religion, caste, etc. Really feel ashamed to be an Indian at such times. All the best to the enterprising couple. Good wishes to Suresh for his yeoman's service; hope good things happen in his life too. And thanks to rediff for such a story that makes a difference.
Juliana & Mr.Hardnokar-Reading your Past as CITIZEN OF INDIA, really you have suffered struggled and only your Determination has brought you to this extent. Hats Off To You and you have a great friend in your life.
Juliana I am an Indian Kenyan writing this from Nairobi, Kenya I have been in Kenya for past 17 years & I don't have problem with my kenyan african friends. I don't understand why being an Indian, you are mistreated by other fellow Indians ? Your family should be a roll model for other Indian African
Nice story. It's true that though we complain of racism in the west, we are equally racist. Best wishes to Juliana and Juje. Hope they understand that racism is a global problem.
