We should not call it as Golden Temple as it was the name given by the British rulers. It sounds of salvery to continue calling it sa golden temple. Let us start calling it by its original name which is Gurudwara Harmandir Sahib. In punjabi Harmandir means hari Mandir(The abode of Lord). When are we going to end our slave mentality of following the british?

That is exactly what have said in my post before. There are three temples in the world with gold lining One in India, Second in Japan and the third in java islands. The one in India is Harmaindir Sahib or can also be called Darbar Sahib. Calling it Golden Temple is wrong and totally out of context.
Golden temple is unbelievably gr8 & also idol for other temple management in a process (Cleanses & hygiene).
But if look at history main reason to Mugal, Afghan military attack India was a greed of gold. In India temples have a huge treasury of gold. At the end Mugal, Afghan military looted all gold from temple & destroy the temples also.
So now famous temple should use their gold in serving needy & poor people. Keep gold in treasury of temple don't make any sense. At least now learn lesson from history.

Gold on the Harmandir sahib was denoted by the King, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Which was either given to him by other kingdoms of time as lagan or was looted from Moguls.
I wish other places of worship in India we as clean as the Golden Temple looks like. Admittedly, the crowd is more at Hindu temples and to manage them would be a very difficult task. But a place of worship should be clean, and devotees should be instructed on civilised behaviour.

Thanks for Addressing it as DARBAR SAHIB, the correct name. There are three Golden temples in the world, with calling It a golden temple one does not know which one is being referred to. First one is in India. Second in Japan. I can't remember where the third one is.
