1) Avoid sweets in 4 forms - chocolates, cakes, pastries, Indian sweets.
2) Avoid oily food
3) Avoid salty food
4) Avoid maida items
5) Eat heavily in morning, eat sparingly at night.
6) Have atleast 4 meals in day.

Eat everything else and do walking for 40 mins. for 4-5 days in a week.

About Weight Loss

The best way to gain weight quickly is by doing Surya Namaskar . It does a comprehensive workout of the entire body , besides making your mind totally calm afterwards and keeps one's body and mind totally fresh throughout the day .its just magical . 6 sets on daily basis is more than enough .one can easily lose upto 240 calories in just 5-10 minutes . More the rounds ,obviously more calorie loss and gradual reduction in weight .I have done 108 . Usually do 32 rounds in one go .

Is it better to combine Kapala-bhati with Suryanamaskar
for weight loss? Or just Suryanamaskar is good enough? Is
10 rounds/day good enough to reduce? What is the rate of reduction?

that's absolutely fine . you can definitely combine . not a problem at all . If you are just starting Surya Namaskar , you can start by 3 sets and increase subsequently . Its for reducing weight , not for gaining weight . sorry for the grammatical error .

Indian Style diet

Should include plenty of Desi ghee and sugar in most of your foods. Eat plenty of deep fried Bhajis and wash down with Lassi or Pepsi Coke (aim to finish at least 2 litre bottle per day). Reward yourself on weekend with food from Mc Donalds or KFC. Remember that our belly is the sign of prosperity

Too Low Target
by rahim amir rajpari on Sep 24, 2012 05:34 PM  | Hide replies

It is even more frustrating to aim as low as 1/2 or 1 kg per week because if you are exercising regularly with a good diet then loosing 2 kg per week should not be an issue at all. aiming for 1/2 kg per week will not motivate you enough to continue your exercise and diet regime for long time. and the most important thing is that never keep a weekly target you should always keep a slightly long term goal like for example a month or a fortnight, but that does not mean you should not monitor yourself. Monitoring yourself on a good interval will allow you to introspect as to what is going wrong at the same point of time not discouraging you like the short term goals.

As per you, if some one is exercising for 1 year (52 weeks), he would disappeared as 52 x 2 = 104 kg. As per author in 2 years a guy of 100 and odd kg will disappear.

Why does an article about weight loss need to have a picture of a scantily clad woman with it?
