iPhone 5 is without FM Radio.... Bad...

Samsung smart phones come on Android comes with free applications from Google playstore. Good to buy android phones (be careful while selecting - Network capacity/bands, Processor, ROM, RAM etc.)..... Videocon/Spice android phones are not good in processor/RAM/network technology

iPhone 5 effect: Samsung slashes Galaxy S II, S III prices

Every one not only Samsung can slash prices.
People will still be buying Iphone 5, It is the brand that counts and apple is on top at the moment.
Weather Iphone 5 is worth all the fuss or not that is a different story.
people like to be seen with the latest and top brand even if they don't really need it.
It is a matter of pride to be seen with one.

For your information I do not own a Mobile phone.
There is no need for one.

Our connection comes through 10 channel wireless set.

Blackberry

Well lot of things are being said about iphone, does it really worth it? Ask the blackberry users can they turn to the plastic after using the Blackberry. It is the best stuff in the phone market and you will love to remain dedicated to it for the reasons that can come only by experience. Its doesn't have hype because it doesn't need it.

Don't go gaga around iPhone, see the specs, issues and price and then decide (not to use it) !!

Author got it wrong !!
by Raja Srinivasan on Sep 22, 2012 06:53 PM

First to my conclusion : "It is not the iPhone5 Effect; the author sadly did not get it right."

Now to Why?
Smartphone users are witnessing additions in FEATURES and Capabilities (Speed, memory and capacity) in each iteration of the smartphone by every manufacturer.

Acceptance of these is usually measured by sales growth which also gives an indication if these feature additions are perceived as valuable by consumers.

General rule is that 'if a manufacturer adds features and drops prices market is deemed to be sceptical." In practice, however, PRICE REDUCTIONS are the most effective instrument to CAPTURE the market share - provided the features remain effective between manufacturers. THIS IS THE CASE NOW and HENCE THE MOVE BY SAMSUNG.

Everyone is aware that in very recent times we see new OS emerging (MS Windows 8) and with it new smartphones like the Nokia Lumia; Motorola Razr; and even Samsung's own new model unveiled a fortnight ago. More the players in the field and with almost similar specs, PRICES CAN'T BE HELD STEADY. The earlier one gives a 'Better Value for Money' the merrier he travels in the market. THIS IS THE CASE WITH SAMSUNG NOW.

Product improvements must be USED by the consumers;
Product must be VALUED by the customer. These are the two essentials affecting sales Growth. There are scientific ways of gauging this and in this SAMSUNG equals if not betters rivals today.

Samsung's SALES CYCLE and DEVELOPMENT CYCLE also scores well here.
