This is not Razr i. Would expect someone who works with ThinkDigit to have better information. Please dont give half cooked information.
1.In today's smartphone growth the major factors distinguishing them from one another are : Being TOUGHER, FASTER, LONGER/WIDER SCREEN; and BATTERY. Here, Motorola's new phone definitely SCORES.
2. INTEL, the Processor Giant, is late in Mobile Game; Motorola went from pioneer to an also ran. But now, Motorola is owned by GOOGLE, a BIG name. But, if this partnership proves to be dynamic and value driven, it can possibly be a turn-around model and regain some of the lost mobile lustre for Motorola; just as in the case of NOKIA and MICROSOFT.
To fight an established giant like Apple, in open source platform(s) with no exclusivity, one needs strategic partnerships who have created a name in a niche field/area/product.
3. For consumers it is a blessing that such players are bringing more variety.
