dont get carried by hype about payments and overseas offer. reality IT is one of few sectors with pinkslip,bench and constant need for skill upgradation. I would request all the boys to think about evergreen mechanical and also electronics.

I second your opinion sir. There are only 3 major engineering courses: Civil, Mechanical & Electrical. All other engg. studies are derived from these 3 only. Computer Engg. is not an engg. study at all, because, everything in it comes from Electronics Engg. Happy to see that the mad craze of engg. is slowly waning off and students of today's world are smarter with their choices. Good Luck Boys..!!

Just that is WRONG with Indian "engineers". They should not have been in the first place but for the bank-loan based "engineering/medicine" bubble fostered by India's pro-liberalization politicians, media and businessmen. In a matter of 2 years this loan bubble will burst and put Indian banks in trouble and the so called "engineers" will be out in the streets begging for food.

Where is the dedication among students. they are more interested in the degree than knowledge. in a country which is driven by marks, quality is compromised.
In an era filled with unlimited information and knowledge, it is important that students assimilate the information they receive and are able to integrate it to inspire productive outcomes. Unfortunately, learning is equated with the mere accumulation of knowledge rather than the understanding of its essence.
now days the engeenering and management degrees has become the business. it is not the fault of student nor parents.College standard has fallen so low.Teachers or even the industries are not focused on the student who is practically sound they choose or love the student having the higher %. They should give the preferance to the practically sound person. Film 3 idiots is the perfect example of the situation.

Why only Engineering colleges? The whole of our Education is ROTTEN. When marks are sacroscant than the knowledge what do u expect? Most of the Teachers teach mechanically as they do not have any interest or aptitude for teaching,students learn mechanically because they have to get their degrees (not knowledge)which is the PASSPORT for getting jobs.Our Education system is nothing but the Refection of the society, as society is getting Degraded so the Education.
The engineering students lack language skills because their teachers are no good in expressing themselves in English.Recently I scrutinised 300 applications for the post of an associate professor in a National Institute of Technology.None of the candidates could correctly spell words like thesis,viva voce or empirical.
