A lot of us are crazy about going to Switzerland, Scotland..... India has many beautiful places. we need to visit them first before going abroad and that way we can contribute to the local economy. This will generate more jobs for the local village people. This is quite a good article. So Rediff - We need more articles like these and less of the politics and filmy bullshit that is usually on the website.

I agree Mr. Savio. More articles like this will help in making people aware that there are abundant scenic places in India itself. Why to go abroad? After all, Mera Bharat Mahaan.

It's really a lovely place. Experiencing that mist while sitting next to lake is a speechless experience.
Valley of Flowers is amazing. We were also lucky to find a rare species of orchid (blossoms once in 5 years, forgot the name.) along with Blue poppies and a big field of bramha kamals. It was behind the hill that starts after lake, need to take a round trip to lake for that. And the guide are really helpful and good.
