HR, all know, is just the most inefficient and yet highly paid function. Especially, in IT companies, HR dept is packed with immature girls straight from graduation ready to flash out their teeth and cleavge at the drop of a hat, but have no real knowledge about anything related to Labour Laws.

Totally agree with you. They are just show piece. Most of the work is being out sourced and they are busy with organizing events or acting as escorts for foreign visitors.

Be fair Guys, what Jobs/Roles are you guys into? Are you just Plain Jealous that HR guys are well paid? While I agree that most of the HR folks around are not well versed with Labor Laws, understand the fact that Labor Laws are just one of the components of HR- it is a Sub-Set of HR, not the other way round? Educate Yourselves. Which organizations have you seen HR ladies flaunting their cleavages at you? You both sound like extremely irresistible around ladies that they seem to pant and sweat seeing you and suddenly start flashing their assets at you.!!! Escorts??? You will be the biggest liar and hypocrite if you tell me that you have not played the role of a cheap escort licking your boss's boots at some time (grasping whatever mental capacities you guys may have from the above comments)....
HR is totally useless element in organisation. just carry forwarded resume from consultancy to manager and called this recruitment. Create non-sense policy to penalised performer and encourage non-performer for shake of retention. HR is extra burdent to any unit. Lets pass on responsibility for manager and kick-out HR and save money

HR Manager is always responsible for people. There are different types of employees, hence HR managers have to design policies suitable for employees, culture and at the same time have to check financial aspects of organization also. So i think it should not be taken in wrong spirit. There are number of cases where HR managers recommends for promotions, salary hikes, appreciations etc.
HR Team never helps employee as they used to promise that not sharing information to sr.mgmt,however employee always screwed on daily basis by managers. we have seen that HR and mgmt team,managers are always thick friends.HR should be fair to employee towards growth,benefits,recogination etc.

Very correct,HR team should be friend of evry associate at small level,rather than friend of project manager,senior managers only and independly able to judge every asoocite on technical,inititive level,to help him prosper and help company prosper than only management managers employees.
