Parents are largely responsible for sibling rivalry. I also feel that I have been on the receiving end as a child. Now that I am a father myself, I have vowed to learn from my own childhood and take care of my daughter.

lets not completely blame the parents. parents only want the best for their children. no parents want to hurt their child but act like this to keep their image in the society. we have no problem telling ppl be like einstein, newton but why do we see a problem if parents ask one child to be like other child. look how we fall to victims for ads like complain boy, i drink horlics and get first rank in maths. healthy competition is always good but dont push a child towards a breakpoint.

Sibling Rivalry

We parents are responsible for the sibling rivalry. Each individual has his/her own traits and natural instincts. Naturally, they excel in those fields. Comparing that individual to another of a different personality should be avoided. Each individual should be allowed to nurture his/her own talents and excel in those.
