He should not have participated in the auction of Jeans worn by celebrities.

This is a totally wrong concept.

This is hero worshipping. Even if the fans want this, persons like Big B should not support this.

EDUCATION OF UNPRIVILEDGEDS.
by sudhir agrawal on Sep 05, 2012 02:28 PM

WHILE AMITABHJI'S EFFORTS IS LAUDABLE BUT THE SITUATION IS THAT OF SINKING SAND. AS MANY AS UNPRIVILEDGED GET EDUCATED DUE TO SUCH EFFORTS ,EQUAL OR EVEN MORE STEP IN THE COUNTRY WITH SUCH SITUATION. SO WHERE IS OUR POPULATION POLICY. UNLESS WE HAVE A CLEAR POPULATION POLICY, SUCH EFFORTS WILL BE LOOSING BATTLE.

Satyamev Jayate got pan-India viewership because a star, Amir Khan was compering it. I appeal to all other stalwarts of Indian cinema to compere such socially-relevant programmes on television. It can change the way we Indians think and act and it will be very good for our country in the long run. Rather than being part of mindless game shows like Dus-Ka-Dum and Big Boss, all the biggies should take a leaf from Amir’s book. You guys have the POWER to change the mindset of India. Use it.

If all the celebrities contribute 20% of their earnings for charitable cause super speciality hospitals(like those built by Sai Babaji)can be made available for free medicare for the poors and the destitutes in all parts of India.

Reservation in promotion will take India 100 years back. The capable people will not work for Govt. I can see India failing and falling. Let us all migrate to Bangladesh/Srilanka

Dear Arun - I entirely agree with you that caste system is creating lot of problems in our society, but the problem is not the caste, the problem is our upbring and education. The generation should be educated to respect the human being whether rich or poor. Atleast, if one cannot respect, one should not hate or disrespect. If we can inculcate such attitude, hope the caste system or any other evil can trouble us.

No. We cannot do away with caste system. Every community has its own fractions i.e. caste, biradary, firke, kabilas etc. People created this group/giroh/herd/society so that they know each other for making relation between them such as marriage, community gathering etc. From the last 5000 years so many Mahapurush/saint tried to destroy it, but they failed. Because people feel more secure in their own caste than any other system. Every religion has caste/kabila/biradary/fractions.

If we cannot rule and control ourselves in public life with morality, then I am sure and will be saddened that day when we will be ruled by foreigners.

great words from a great man
by Niraj Sharma on Sep 05, 2012 09:26 AM

Yes Bachchan sahaba is correct. But I would also be impressed if he voices protest against harsh gender biased laws like IPC 498 and families which have suffered due to it. There is always an other side to the picture. Great people should be humanity oriented not gender oriented.
