salary
by Ichak Dana on Sep 06, 2012 03:04 PM

how can he say that do not mention current salary drawn in resume, i think that is necessary because if we dont mention the same and the employer is expecting a candidate for a lower salary, he shall be wasting the time of both. I agree that expected salary should not mention, but mentioning the current salary would definetely mean we want minimum this much.

if there is limited vaccancy 2 or 3 .then the hr
department call 30 to 50 people for the interview and in that they select that cv which is negotiable
.ex if the package is for 25000 they will bring that package up to 10000 /- .instead of wasting our 1 day such pratice should be corrected ?

In India, resume only helps in finding a job...
by Raghavender Pasuladi on Sep 03, 2012 04:18 PM  | Hide replies

After that... it is 'Can do' ( read it as 'yes man') attitude and ability to handle politics, polytrics, favoritism, nepotism, regionalism, racism, egoism, egotism etc that matters. One needs to have right 'combination' to creep up, at times immorally too. The more able and talented one is, the more insecure one's peers and supervisor would be. People seem to bother only about employment in life and do not mind to gang up for wrong reasons. Employees rated good may not have a life at all. If at all, one sustains a job, he would end up with a house and a car towards end of his service. Except for few good Companies, that's the grim reality in current India. Rules are meant for fools and policies are selectively applied. Actually, every employer should asked to publish the summary and statistics of the feedback of employees, who had left in last calendar year. This should be made mandatory for any recruitment process to safeguard employees' interests and avoid malpractices of employers that go unnoticed.

attitude in your job role counts most
by Raghavendra Bhat on Sep 03, 2012 10:20 AM

The attitude one puts up in one's job role is of paramount importance, say about the work put in to fix an outstanding job issue instead of how well you did it. Say about how you increased value to your work by sharing and solving an issue, how you got help from a team-mate whom you have had helped earlier. Politely stress your competencies and willingness to take on 'uncracked' problems. Be tidy and pointed in whatever you do, wasting company time is criminal just like online wastage of company bandwidth.
