I had got my first salary of Rs 1500 when i worked in coimbatore in the year 2000. I had purchased a saree for 300 rs to my mother. I also gave rs 1000 for house expenditures.
My first salary was Rs.350 for working last week of a month way back in 1998 and I bought a cycle pump :) as we had almost 5 cycles during that time and we had to spend money for filling air on a weekly basis.
