It was so less (850 Rs) ... I was shy to take that to home.. I gave a ice cream treat to my friends.. which exhausted half of my salaray. Then I took half of the salary home and gave it to my Father.
Then I asked for 15k for a better IT course. So my father put my salary into 15 K and then I did that IT Course, very sincerely.
My very first salary, Rs 500, I bought a Timex-Vista Watch for me (with date & Time). I am still using the same watch. I also remember, that the Shop Keeper gave me the watch with 15% discount, to match up the amount I had in my purse.
I joined a company at Coimbatore at stipend of Rs. 250/- per month. The stipend also was paid after 3 months. After two months I made a visit to my village to see my family. My grand ma ( fathers mother) was slightly sick at the age of 80 plus. I promised her to get a saree and some sweets when I come again to see her. But unfortunatey on the day I received my 3 months stipend I received a phone call from my father saying that my grand ma expired. I had to fulfill my promises to her with a heavy heart.

Quite touchy...life really becomes harsh at times especially when at times you think that everything is going right...
I work in the oil exploration sector and my first pay was 160rs per day which was hiked to 460rs per day in about 3 months.i still have my first payslip laminated and kept with me to remind me of a time that was.i think i gave some money to my grandma as a gift.i didnt buy anything with it but after my first job change after 4 years,my first and most prized buy was a bike that was on my poster walls during my engineering days, the Yamaha YZFR1!
