If you select a class topper who is extremely hard working and intelligent after a rigorous JEE/CAT etc?You don't need IIT or IIM for him to succeed?Even a Village Patasla will do?
I am working in MNC and i have seen many IIT are working along with me and they do not have any super mind as i expected .Even i have seen in management many person who are not from any IIM are working great .It all depends how much you are devoted in your work .Just passing an exam and reading at IIM does not gurantee you a success but it will give you opportunity.Even salman khurshid is passout from oxford but he i still a corrupt politician.
Absurd and Insulting to the hilt........... these findings of Mr. Jain........ are completely un true....... IIM is the one of the most competitive places on this planet......... you can't be an mere human to get in there, you have to be an exceptional mind to enter the gate of IIM..... some one who's mind is so strong that he can excel in whatever field he chooses......... He has said infact reality, why are you afraid of that. He is not doubting talent but other facts are aptly brought out. Kudos to him
I agree. In fact during my career span of over 18 years I have worked closely with several IIM's including some being IIT & IIM both. I have worked under them and beside them but never with them. In fact they seem to have no regards for any other opinion that is not their's. Also they are so good that they can not see the present or minor issues. If you follow them in 99% cases they will lead you to success but if you are looking for a friend or comrade then they are pathetic.

"They will lead you to success in 99% cases..." ... not sure where you picked up your sample from...Their success ratio or failure ratio is as good as any average person's from any field irrespective of that persom attending a b-school. No offense to IIM pass outs...majority of corporates hire you with great expectations ... i haven't seen a single one of you living up to those expectations...because there is no substitute for experience
