Srevey is half hearted. Does not cover much. All the statements made are very general and can be made even without conducting any survey for these conclusions. survey should have covered the corporate responsibilities towards the employees and families, work life balancing in a much deeper sense, taxation on the salaried individuals. we pay heavy taxes ( even though they might appear less in % copmared to other counties) and get nothing in return for that from the govt. suerveys like this should have sensible and pointed questions.

I agree with your statements regarding taxes. We IT employees not only pay taxes for our salaries. We also tempting towards buying flats for very high prices just because of social status. As IT field is more volatile tension levels are bringing blood pressures. I always suggest my dear friends not buy anything until you have 75% of making down payments. This really decreases the sales and prices will come automatically.
I can bet if we don’t go for bank loans and buy flats we will sure by the flats with our 4 years of savings. Instead we are paying 25 years of installments and sacrificing everything except staying in bank’s house.
How can this survey be conducted? What level of corruption in the goverments considered to get this type of salary increase? If we remove all these corrupt goverment may be the salary increase may be 3 fold!!!!

We should not stop practicing good things just because of 10% corrupted people which will be there everywhere. See the Afghanistan where rules are very strict by Taliban leaders. But they take away freedom of millions of people who always live in frightened environment. India and America are free countries.
Expectations of compensation will depend on various factors.Many a time its demand & supply game or negotiation skills or your needs.Nowaadays people should look more towards work-life balance,travel time to workplace,taxation & net savings,personal growth & most important your health, family concern & responsibilities.You may earn less & be happy- rather than earning more with tears.
